Healthy lifestyle positive influence to precision medicine
Nuggets for healthy lifestyle habits
Getting enough sleep. 2.Control your weight. 3.Moderate exercise. 4.Do not smoke. 5.Well balanced diet. 6.Refrain from too much alcohol. The quality and longevity of human health is based on eight golden laws of health: Fresh air, Pure water, Sunlight,Exercise, Trust in God, Nutrition and rest.
Water
Water is a vehicle and messenger who plays a fundamental role of carrying oxygen and nutrients to cells, converting foods into energy, protecting and cushion vital organs, and taking away waste materials, which are then eliminated through urination. Its absorbed through intestines and circulated in the body in the form of body fluids. Drinking enough water will help you for good respirations. The lungs are 75% water and we lose at least one pint of water in our exhaled breath each day.
Rest
It is important to get the right quantity and quality of sleep. It is during sleep that the body is able to recuperate. The following are some ideas that may help you to be more restful: Avoid overeating or having a heavy evening meal. Have an abundant supply of fresh air in your bedroom while you sleep. Avoid tobacco, nicotine, alcohol or caffeine. Caffeine negatively affects brain neurochemicals, brain cells communicate to one another through chemical interchanges. Nerve cells release neurochemicals ( or chemical messengers) that are picked up by neighboring cells. Some neurotransmitters cause stimulation of the recipient cell, while others cause depression. Caffeine disrupts the brain chemistry by increasing the level of acetylcholine and interfering with the transmission of adenosine. The impaired mental functioning is highly likely when the efficacy functioning of adenosine chemical is weakened according to research. Too much caffeine can cause restlessness and shakiness, insomnia, headache, dizziness, fast heart rate and dehydration. Alcohol can cause a loss of frontal lobe gray matter cells that are involved in critical frontal lobe functions. Alcohol can cause mental health conditions, ranging from depression, anxiety, memory problems, antisocial behavior, unsafe sex and violence. Alcohol can damage your liver, heart, brain and pancreas, It also impairs your judgment, movement, slurred speech and vomiting. Tobacco is the leading cause of lung, throat and mouth cancer and can cause liver, stomach, pancreas, bladder and stomach cancer. Tobacco use can cause (COPD) chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and bronchitis. Tobacco use can cause increased blood pressure, sinus tachycardia and coughing.
Cancer protective vegetables and fruits.
Fruits Vegetables Oranges Beans, peas, lentils Apricots Garlic, onions, carrots, beets, potatoes Bananas, grapes, apricot. Pumpkins, mixed vegetables, yams, spinach. Citrus fruits, blueberries Spinach, lettuce, tomatoes, broccoli, watermelon
Exercise
Vigorous exercise during the day in the fresh and sunshine. Have regular hours for sleeping, studies show that due to circadian rhythm which is regulated by the sun rays, the deepest sleep occurs between 9:00 PM and 12:00 AM
Fresh air
The pollution in the air decreases the amount of oxygen that can actually get to the blood. A prevalent ingredient in polluted air, it binds with the oxygen in the blood. Studies indicate that thousands of people die every year due to air pollution. For those who drive daily in heavy traffic, a portable air purifier in your car would be a great benefit. It's prudent to have purifying units in your home and office. Exercise strengthens the lungs and provides the system with more oxygen so cardiothoracic exercises are very important for heart health and lungs breathing functions systems.
Nutrition
Eating a balanced diet replenishes your body with all required minerals for cell growth, proliferation and health.
Antioxidant nutrients
Antioxidants nutrients combat free radicals that can cause tumors so eating foods rich with antioxidants protect cells from damage and abnormal growth. Tomatoes contain lycopene, B-carotene that prevent and retain free radicals forming Mushrooms and onions contain selenium, one of the most potent antioxidants. Strawberry contains both polyphenols and glycemic that supports healthy blood sugar level and antioxidation. Broccoli contain vitamin A in form of beta-carotene Blueberries contain anthocyanins minerals that prevent cell cellular damage and do antioxidation. Onions and garlic allyl sulfide which works on enzymes to detoxify carcinogens. Fish and nuts contain Omega fatty acids that are potent for brain tissue health, mental acuity, memory, eyes health and skin elasticity. Fish Vitamin-D has wealthy benefits on bone strengths and immune systems. Fish contain niacin and phosphorus minerals, niacin(vitamin B3)maintains heart health, blood vessels and metabolism. It can also decrease bad cholesterol LDL and increase good cholesterol HDL. Meat is a great source of protein important for growth and development of bones and muscles. Meat contains Ion, a very important vehicle that carries oxygen around your body. Zinc minerals that is very good for immune system, skin health and generating antibodies that combat disease infections Meat contains Carnosine, a very potent antioxidant that helps protect age related wear and tear. Meat contains iodine that helps produce thyroid hormones that help our body functions.
Longevity
Slowing the ticking aging biological clock needs you to follow simple golden rules. I will explore; the mTOR gene is a central regulator of mammalian metabolism and physiology. It plays a fundamental role in the functions of tissues including liver, muscle, white and brown adipose and the brain. The mTOR (mammalian target of rapamycin) regulates lifespan and aging, a serine threonine protein kinase that regulates cell growth, autophagy, cellular metabolism, immune responses, proliferation and migration to maintain cellular homeostasis.
Exercise
Exercise increases mTor protein in the muscle, brain and heart. Leucine and essential amino acids stimulate human muscle protein synthesis primarily by activating mTor (mammalian target of rapamycin) signaling pathways. Leucine sources; peanuts, lentils, lean meat, pumpkin seeds, chicken, soybeans, avocados provide 170mg, bananas 68mg,eggs 2-5gm of leucine daily. Whey protein activates mTor in a dose dependent on human skeletal muscle after exercise.Exercise will reduce your risk of heart disease by improving the strength and efficiency of your heart. Exercise improves the strength of muscles and bones as well as ligaments, tendons, and cartilage.
Conclusion
A healthy lifestyle positively influences the effectiveness of treatments and overall patients outcome, gene expression and promotes longevity, and prevent people from developing lifestyle diseases due to poor lifestyle habits.
